There's no doubt in our minds that 'Spey Casting' and 'Spey-Casting Rods' are undergoing a period of renaissance.
Just as trout rod actions have evolved considerably in recent times, so too have double handed rods for Spey-Casters around the world and whilst some manufacturers have concentrated on rods for tournament casting we have concentrated on producing a range of rods for balanced outfits to fish in all conditions and river environments to catch Salmon.
Spey-Casting is about shaping and positioning the 'D' loop in all situations from short-casts in confined pocket waters as well as coping with long open pools in difficult winds. It is about managing the bank-side profile, a tree-line canopy or angle of the cast to allow for wind and river flow and being able to easily and comfortably switch from right-hand-up to the left-hand-up, depending on which side of the river you may be fishing.

Torridge and Tamar
Being based in Plymouth, England, the Snowbee tackle development team have access to some of the most beautiful rivers of the West Country. The rivers Tamar & Torridge are two classic medium sized rivers that have, over generations, yielded many Atlantic Salmon and Sea Trout, on short line, double handed fly rods. To meet the demands of these and many other rivers like them world-wide, we have designed two very popular two-handed XS-P fly rods, the 'Tamar' and the 'Torridge'.
